Would you do it with a robot?
I saw an Instagram post that stated we, as humans, would be having sex with robots in 10 years. For fun, I decided to run a little poll in my Story feed to find out if anyone would be game.
Nearly everyone said no.
And guess what.
I say yes.
If someone came up to me and said, “Hey Bethany, we have this new technology out and there is this robot who has perfected the art of love making. We want you to give him (it?) a trial run!” WHY ON EARTH WOULD I SAY NO TO THAT?
(Possible malfunctions aside.)
What if it’s the best sex of my life? (Well yes, this could be a concerning turn of events.)
How many people can break the conversational ice with “So I had sex with a robot once…”?
How many times are you approached with such a WILD & futuristic opportunity?
I am more than sure half of you reading this right now have a self-pleasuring tool of some kind in the drawer of your nightstand. The other half of you are probably having virtual reality sex with those ridiculous headsets on your face. How is this more justifiable than robot sex? Isn’t it just a super-sophisticated form of self-pleasure? BUT BETTER?
What is the actual reason you would say no? Are you worried about what other people would think? Are you worried you’d like it? Is it outside of your moral code? (Have you honestly built your moral sexual code around the emergence of sexbots?)
This would be an experience unlike any other.
Surreal. Exotic. Groundbreaking. Extraordinary. Completely and utterly unforgettable. TOTALLY vulnerable. Probably the safest sex you’ll ever have and if he doesn’t stay for breakfast, no hard feelings.
Do you not like experiences? Because I think you do.
I really want to get to the bottom of this.
We can:
Have one-night stands with people we’ve never met/will never see again…
Have sex with multiple people at the same time…
Wake up and decide what gender we want to be that day…
Pay for sex…
Watch sex of absolutely any kind, for free, online…
Have virtual sex with broke elementary school teachers on OnlyFans…
Have unprotected sex with people that aren’t our long term partners…
Have a variety of toys to keep ourselves satisfied…
Etc. Etc. Etc.
All of the above is considered semi-normal (Obviously we can debate a topic or two but in the grand scheme of things, none of the above is SHOCKING)...
Yet the prospect of having sex with a robot is entirely off the table for 90% of my poll takers?
I just don’t believe that.
What is the underlying reason you WOULDN’T give sex with a robot a whirl? Just once? Just for fun?
If your response to sex with a robot is a hardlined no, I need to know why.
If your response, like MY response, is a F*CK yes, I need to know why.
